An Arizona college student’s artwork will be featured on the cover of the 35th annual Governor’s Arts Awards program and in formal invitations to the March 23 event, and submissions are now being accepted for consideration. Deadline for submission is January 22, 2016.
Eligible two-dimensional works of art must have been created in the last two years and should embody artistry and Arizona culture as interpreted by the artist. There are no size or medium restrictions, but the artwork must be fit for digital reproduction. Images should not contain any frame, mat or watermark and selection will be made by Arizona Citizens for the Arts staff and board members.
The winning artist, who will be notified on Jan. 29, 2016, also will receive $100 rights and productions fees, two tickets to the Governor’s Arts Awards and the chance to display a portfolio of work at the event.
