There are more than 250 arts organizations across the state of Arizona. In addition to generating over $9.3 billion to the state’s economy in 2019, Arizona arts also collectively employ more than 90,000 Arizonans. According to 79% of Arizonans, the “arts have a social impact improving the quality and livability of my community.”

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has placed the future of Arizona’s arts community in jeopardy. Restoring state funding for the Arizona Commission for the Arts is an essential first step to help.

Arts for Arizona (AFA) is a grassroots-powered organization led by a collaborative group of non-profits throughout the state of Arizona. AFA’s goal is to preserve and promote the Arizona arts through ongoing advocacy efforts, to help both rural and urban art communities, and to educate our elected officials and the public about the critical role of the arts in a thriving economy and growing state.
