It’s not too soon to join other arts and culture advocates from across the state for Arts Congress.

Arts Congress 2016 is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, February 4, on the Senate Lawn of the Arizona State Capitol.

Registration is now open. Sponsorships for organizations and small businesses are $130 and include registration for four people. Individual registration is $30. Your registration comes loaded with advocacy training and materials as well as lunch on the lawn.

Arts Congress is the one day of the year when the collective voice of Arizona's arts and culture community is heard loud and clear.

Arizona Citizens for the Arts staff will schedule face-to-face meetings for advocates with their legislators and will provide online trainings and briefing materials in advance and onsite on February 4.

The day also will feature workshops and other activities for participants interested in becoming more active advocates, as well as entertainment and demonstrations by local arts organizations.
