- MOZART: DIVERTIMENTO IN D MAJOR, K. 136
- ROSSINI: DUO FOR CELLO AND BASS
- DAVID LUDWIG: PALE BLUE DOT
- EDGAR MEYER: STRING QUINTET
The New Yorker dubbed the Dover Quartet “the young American string quartet of the moment,” and their moment is the big bang that launches our season. They’ll arrive with beloved classical/crossover bassist Edgar Meyer, to play one of Meyer’s own works. The group will feature fun pieces by Mozart and Rossini, and something written especially for them, a romantic-styled quartet evoking a glimpse of Earth from deep space.
