Event Details

At the Herberger Theater, culture is always on the menu and we encourage the community to think outside the lunch box for a helping of drama, comedy and everything in between during the lunch hour.

In observance of Black History Month:

A Legacy of Justice: Sipuel v. Board of Regents University of Oklahoma
Produced by Grey Matters Productions
Tues.-Thurs., Feb. 7-9 and 14-16
12:10pm (doors open at 11:40am)
The HTC’s Kax Stage (Van Buren, between 2nd and 3rd Streets.)

Ada Lois Sipuel Fisher understood that being a test plaintiff in 1946 Oklahoma for the NAACP would make her a target for the hostility of segregationists. With a legal team lead by Thurgood Marshall, her determination to receive a law degree in the educational facility of her choice, would change the course of history. The landmark case would pave the way for a victory in Brown v. Board of Education, which would end segregation in all educational facilities. She would bring liberty to her contemporaries and future generations. This is the story of Ada’s fight for justice. Written by Larissa Brewington.

Tickets are available online, at the door or through the Box Office at 602-252-8497. Order lunch with tickets online or bring your own.
