Event Details

Sixth Annual Oktoberfest celebration at the Garcia Little Red Schoolhouse (GLRSH).  The festivities will feature Bavarian music, food and beverages.  The admission tickets for adults are $5.00, children 12 and under are free, food and beverages will be sold separately.

Brats with authentic Bavarian Sauerkraut and German potato salad are on the menu accompanied by hot dogs for those who prefer lighter fare. This year Mayor John Cook and Council member Kelly Blunt will man the grill. Additional beverages and desserts from the Chaparral Ice Cream Parlor will be available for sale with a separate beer garden available for adults over 21 only.

The beer garden is sponsored by Hensley Beverages and this year will also feature Voss water.

Traditional Oktoberfest music will be played by the Bouncing Czechs of Tucson, an upbeat vibrant group.  Charlie Root, the grandson of former Mayor Ron Badowski will play a feature piece on the accordion.  Charlie is the student of the accordion player of the Bouncing Czechs in Tucson.

 Proceeds from the event helps the WCO keep the historic GLRSH open.  If you are unable to attend but would like to help keep the GLRSH open, donations may be mailed to WCO, 245 N. Tegner Street, Wickenburg, AZ 85390. By going to www.wco.org you make take a virtual tour of the GLRSH.
